'Canadian Idol' finalist Brian Melo says he's unsure of his chances to win

TORONTO (CP) — "Canadian Idol" finalist Brian Melo says he wants to win the televised singing contest "more than ever."

But in a conference call with the media this morning, the rocker from Hamilton, Ont., wouldn't speculate on his chances of winning, saying it's "50-50."

The 25-year-old says he and the other finalist, Jaydee Bixby of Drumheller, Alta., are "total opposites" musically and he praises his country-singing competitor's stage presence, strong voice and killer smile.
