Kelly Clarkson: leak of unfinished songs "sucks"
BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhuanet) -- An annoyed Kelly Clarkson has spoken out her dissatisfaction for the emergence of her four unfinished songs on the Internet, saying the leak "sucks," according to media reports Monday.
"I write all the time -- lots of stuff not meant to ever be released, just working on ideas," said the former "American Idol" winner. "The fact that people have heard music that's not ready yet sucks, but I hope they like it."
The four songs -- "Close Your Eyes," "Ready," "One Day," and "With a Little Bit of Luck" -- surfaced earlier this week via the Los Angeles-based music blog Pretty Much Amazing. Their varying sound quality indicates that the tracks are in different stages of the recording process.
Blog editor Luis Tovar said his traffic skyrocketed this week, while some staunch fans have defended Clarkson's right to keep her work private.
"The 'Crazy Clarkson Fans,' as one person called them, were amusing at first, annoying later," Tovar said. "But it's great to see the brand loyalty out there. These people are ready to go to war for Clarkson. It's kind of cute, almost."
