Bowersox News: Crystal Bowersox Outsells 'Idol' Champ Lee DeWyze
Crystal Bowersox, runner-up to “American Idol” winner Lee DeWyze, has officially surpassed the 100,000 mark in sales of her debut album, Farmer’s Daughter, which has sold 106,000 copies. This means Bowersox is outselling DeWyze, who has sold 102,000 copies of his album, Live It Up.
This success is made even more impressive by considering the fact that Live It Up has been available since November 16, while Farmer’s Daughter has been on shelves only since December 14. Furthermore, DeWyze’s album scored the lowest first-week sales out of all other eight “American Idol” winners.
