The Great British Bake Off An Extra Slice 3 - Episode 1

The tenth series of The Great British Bake Off will begin on 27 August 2019, with this being the third series to be broadcast on Channel 4. It will be presented by returning hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, and will be judged by returning judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith

For the signature challenge, the bakers had to do a fruit cake in any shape. It has to have a significant amount of dry fruits, perfectly baked, and beautifully decorated; all in 2½ hours. For the technical challenge, the bakers had to do 6 identical angel cake slices set by Prue. Each with a layer of genoise sponge sandwiched with Italian meringue buttercream, topped with icing and feathered; all done in 1¾ hours. For the showstopper challenge, the bakers had to do a birthday cake. They had to be dreamed of as a child, and they had to finish it in 4 hours.
