AUSTRALIAN Idol finalist Matt Corby has revealed the secret of his outrageous clothes and Natalie Gauci spoke of her "special connection" with Dicko behind the scenes.

The pair blogged live today with Daily Telegraph readers about their rollercoaster ride on the singing show which will will announce a winner this Sunday.

Asked about his taste in clothes - a regular topic of conversation among fans, Matt showed a lighter side to some of the intensity he is known for on air.

"I wear all my sisters clothes because I'm really a woman...I get 10 dollars per every outragous outfit so I've earnt $150 all up...off stage i wear parachute pants and a wutang jacket."

Natalie downplayed Dicko’s recent criticism that her and Matt were “beautifiul but boring”.

“I feel Dicko is just voicing a few things that make us respond so we don’t look boring. It’s nice to have an opinion and not be dull, and I know I’m not boring and I just hope that the public can see that through my performances on the show and I will continue to prove that once I’m out in the real world!"

She said the judges backstage coments have been invaluable.

"The judges are really awesome people and behind the scenes they are just themselves,": Natalie told bloggers. "I feel Dicko and i have a special connection, he has advised me on few things in regard to my image and who I want to be as an artist when I idol is over, and focusing on that has definitely inspired me," she said.
