Former American Idol star engaged?

Former 'American Idol' star Katharine McPhee is reportedly engaged to actor Nick Cokas.

According to People magazine, the 23-year-old singer was spotted wearing a ring but she has not yet confirmed the rumours.

However, a source told the magazine: "Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding."

"She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly."

The couple met in 2005 when they performed together in a production of 'The Ghost and Mrs Muir'.
