Caitlin Stasey and Dean Geyer swap acting/singing tips
NEIGHBOURS' Caitlin Stasey hit the recording studio yesterday, but don't expect this soapie star to turn songbird.
Stasey and Ramsay St recruit, Australian Idol heart-throb Dean Geyer, recorded two duets in a Hughesdale studio, one of which will air in May as part of a school formal storyline.
Although she picked up a few vocal tips from Geyer, Stasey is no novice.
She revealed that last year she turned down a potential recording contract with Brit producer/songwriter Tom Nicholls, who has worked with one-time Neighbours songtresses Kylie Minogue and Stephanie McIntosh.
"Acting is my main passion and I wanted to concentrate my efforts on that, although most actors have that triple threat of being able to sing, dance and act," she said.
"Dean's been giving me tips. He's been very patient, but I've been able to tell him about scripts. He's a quick learner and eager."
