Kate DeAraugo to drop kilos in bulge battle
BENDIGO'S Kate DeAraugo is the latest celebrity to publicly fight the battle of the bulge, joining diet giant Jenny Craig as their latest poster girl in a bid to lose 10kg.
The Young Divas singer has joined Jenny Craig as a star slimmer and will front its new ad campaign in March.
The 2005 Australian Idol winner spent yesterday on a closed set at a South Melbourne studio filming the ads.
She blamed her career for her weight issues.
"I have been leading a hectic lifestyle and I have just come off a demanding publicity tour for the Young Divas' second album, where time and pressures were not conducive to healthy eating," DeAraugo said.
A Jenny Craig spokesman said the Maybe Tonight singer weighed 81kg, but wanted to drop 10kg.
