Grand Blanc's 'American Idol' to perform in Fenton Saturday
This could be your last chance to see a local "American Idol" contestant perform for free.
Beth Stalker of Grand Blanc will sing from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the grand opening of Vintner's Cellar of Fenton Custom Winery, 1545 N. Leroy St. (in the same plaza as the Secretary of State office).
The public is invited.
Stalker, 28, will soon head to Hollywood to compete in the top-rated show, having impressed the "Idol" judges with a rendition of Ella Fitzgerald's "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" that was televised nationally Jan. 15.
Matt Sherrow, owner of the winery, said he asked Stalker to perform at the opening in early August, long before her "Idol" audition.
