Paula Abdul Working on First New Release in over a Dozen Years
American entertainer is attempting a comeback with her first disc of new music in almost 13 years. Abdulmatic will be the singer's fifth full length studio record, slated for a Summer 2008 release. Abdul revealed that the first new single is planned for late May, early June as she is currently in the studio with several producers such as Oliver Leiber, whom she worked with on her 1988 debut, Forever Your Girl. Leiber also co-produced Abdul's latest single, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow", off fellow idol judge Randy Jackson's compilation, Randy Jackson's Music Club, Volume 1.
While not yet confirmed, a tour to follow is also a possibility, and Abdul hopes to be involved in the choreography should it come to pass. More information can be found on Abdul's official website here: http://www.abdulmatic.com.
