Stars in her eyes
Kady Malloy, like so many young singers, takes a do-or-die approach to superstar success.
``The lights have been on since I could start speaking,'' she says. ``There's never been anything else that I've even thought about doing.''
Malloy, 18, is now a top 20 finalist on American Idol. Even before the show, she was adamant that nothing - especially a backup plan - got in her way.
``I didn't even plan on going to college. I always knew that I wanted to be a recording artist,'' she says. ``I didn't even try and get any scholarships.
``I just had a feeling that this would be a good year for me.''
