Idol auditions draw the starry-eyed
They lined up at a mall for a massive casting call, hoping to sing or even shame their way to fame.
Stars in their eyes and songs on their lips, young adults streamed yesterday into St. Vital Centre to audition for the sixth season of the Canadian Idol television phenomenon.
"We're looking for unique people with unique voices," Zack Werner, the show's toughest celebrity judge, said before the tryouts began their two-day run into Manitoba.
"You generally either really have it, or you don't."
More than 400 hopefuls were registered for yesterday alone to strut their stuff for judges outside in a trailer.
