American Idol: Kristy Lee Cook Talks About Horse And Britney Spears

One of the big background stories on American Idol this year was how Kristy Lee Cook had to sell her horse to get the money to travel to audition for American Idol. During a recent conference call, Kristy Lee Cook was asked what the chances were of her getting her horse back from the guy she sold it to. Kristy Lee said, “I’ve talked to him a few times, and he doesn’t want to sell. He doesn’t want to sell him back. He’s really attached to him because he’s such a good horse. But the least I could have asked for was a good home, and he got a really good home, so I am – I’m happy with that, but it does kind of suck that I won’t be able to get him back as my own horse.”

Another interesting story about Kristy Lee Cook is that she was at one time an artist with Britney Spears’ production company. When asked if she had heard from Britney Spears since starting on American Idol, Kristy Lee said, “I actually haven’t heard from her. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in contact with her, but maybe one of these days we’ll catch up again.”
