Australia's got Dannii
Dannii Minogue sparked controversy last year when she joined Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and music mogul Louis Walsh on the judging panel of the top-rating British talent show The X Factor. Osbourne said Minogue only got the job because Cowell wanted to sleep with her, while Walsh accused her of singing out of tune. But as they toured the talk shows questioning her credentials, Minogue spent time with her contestants, who ended up coming first and second on grand final night.
Last month, Osbourne insisted she and Minogue had kissed and made up but Minogue tells a different story. "I think Louis and Sharon will be even more bitter because I'm going to walk back in as the reigning judge," she says. "I completely wiped them out and this season I expect more of the same negative comments."
At the other end of the spectrum is Seven's Australia's Got Talent, a show Minogue can't say a bad word about. "The show is just such a happy pill for me," she says. "It's so full of laughter and fun. I had just come through a couple of really tough years with family stresses and my sister being ill, and it was just the most amazing thing to come into my life."
