COWELL EMPLOYS SONGWRITER McCARTNEY
British music mogul SIMON COWELL has employed the services of singer/songwriter JESSE McCARTNEY - after he penned LEONA LEWIS's hit single BLEEDING LOVE.
McCartney won favour with the American Idol judge when he offered up the song - which he co-wrote with Onerepublic frontman Ryan Tedder - to Cowell's protegee Lewis, with the record going on to score number ones on charts all over the world including the coveted American Billboard 100. And Cowell was so delighted he has asked to employ McCartney on a regular basis.
McCartney says, "Simon is really pleased and wants me to continue writing for his artists, it's so great. Hopefully I can write something else for Leona soon." And the 21-year-old can't wait to start seeing the financial benefits from his hit record.
He adds, "I'm still waiting for the publishing money to come in, to see how good it's really been."
