American Idols Perform Live In South Florida

You watched them climb the ranks from the cattle calls across the country to the main stage in Los Angeles.

Now, the American Idols are performing right here in South Florida.

After thousands of auditions and millions of votes one man was named the American Idol.

David Cook and the rest of the top Idols are touring the country and Wednesday night they will be performing at South Florida’s Bank Atlantic Center.

The performance is a homecoming for Miramar’s Ramiele Malubay and Sarasota’s Syesha Mercado.

Malubay said she has fond memories of the Bank Atlantic Center.

“I graduated here at Bank Atlantic like 3 years ago,” Malubay said. “So it is very exciting to be here.”

Mercado said she was also happy to back in South Florida.

“It is a good feeling to be back here in the humidity and to see the palm trees and for the first time in a long time I was able to jump in the ocean and walk on the beach,” Mercado said.

The American Idols Live performance is at the Bank Atlantic Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.
