I was 15, walking home listening to my Discman and started singing along to the song and found I could sing okay. So I took it up and here I am, Top 24, after a few years though.

What is your favourite song? Please tell us why you love that particular song.
At the moment it's ‘With you’ by Chris Brown. I met this girl and I really had a crush and I was with her and when that song came on, it just hit me, when I’m ‘With you’.

Which previous finalist do you find most inspiring and why?
Guy Sebastian… He has a brilliant voice and just real down to Earth.

Describe your feelings at your first audition.
I was really pumped… Just wanted to rock and jam and jus do my thang. Ready to rock, ready to roll.

Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
Definitely the way you look and act. Personally, I try to stay grounded; not too cocky, but it’s hard with the cameras. Look, when you're on stage put on a show but when you’re off stage just be yourself again.

What would you call your debut single?
Living a dream

Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
It gives us a shot to get in the business and helps us learn about all aspects of television; how to talk on camera and how to be when you're being filmed.

Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
Stevie Wonder, he’s the man, has a mean voice and is awesome on the keys and everything else he plays. He’s got great feel for music.

What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
You get to be on tv and all the chicks just wana… do naughty things with ya lol…and you get to sing and learn loads of stuff

Who is your favourite judge and why?
Kyle….Don't know why, he’s funny and just the way he looks at ya when you perform. He’s helpful and just fun to hang with coz he would be hilarious

What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Be humble; don’t let my ego change me to something I’m not. I work in a factory, I have loads of debts. Don’t pretend I’m something I’m not.
