Last year's winner Leon Jackson will be the first star performer on the show - singing his new single Don't Call This Love. Simon insisted he is confident of success.

He added: "The others will be very nervous about these three."

But Cheryl said: "I think I've got the best three."

Last night's X Factor pulled in an average of 9.8million viewers, peaking at 11million - up from last week's 8.9million.
