Cowell quits X Factor drama
TALK about life imitating art – a new TV drama based on The X Factor is causing bust-ups.
Simon Cowell had agreed to consult for Shed Media on Rock Rivals but will now no longer be involved.
A production source said: “Simon’s team felt some of the storylines were outlandish and over-fictionalised and Simon didn’t want his name associated with it.”
Simon denied any animosity and told us: “I’m sure it will be great drama but my company is not producing it.”
