Thorogood, Kalan booked into Winspear
EDMONTON - Coming to town this spring are blues rockers George Thorogood and the Destroyers, best known for their '80s hit Bad to the Bone. Thorogood performs at the Winspear Centre for Music on May 19. Tickets are $41.50 to $57 and go on sale Friday at the Winspear box office.
Alberta-born Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter has also scheduled a show at the Winspear Feb. 25 (after appearing at Fort Saskatchewan's Shell Theatre the day before). Tickets for the Winspear show are $30 to $36 and go on sale at the Winspear Saturday.
In other concert news, the Edmonton Event Centre has booked Nebraska-based punksters 311 for March 27 and Brit rockers The Cult for April 1. Tickets to both shows go on sale Friday at all Ticketmaster outlets.
