Cowell Denies Treating Lewis To Mansion
Music mogul Simon Cowell has laughed off reports he gifted his pop protege Leona Lewis a $5 million mansion after she landed the number one spot in the U.S. Billboard charts.
Singer Lewis became the first British female solo star in over 20 years to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her single "Bleeding Love" last month, and her label boss Cowell was reportedly so delighted with her success in America, he gave her the key to her own Hollywood house.
But multi-millionaire Cowell has dismissed the reports, telling The Sun that he has made no exceptions with Lewis, despite her worldwide popularity.
Asked if the rumors were true, he replied, "No! If I did that I'd be broke every time I had a hit."
