Poor health makes Kate DeAraugo quit Jenny Craig diet deal
Mystery surrounds the singer's health after the former Australian Idol favourite recently quit her endorsement deal with local weight-loss giant Jenny Craig.
DeAraugo, who has fought a much-publicised battle of the bulge since winning Idol in 2005, has withdrawn from the diet program battling a health problem.
Jenny Craig's managing director Amy Smith, confirming the split, said DeAraugo "has a personal health issue and has had to put the deal on hold".
DeAraugo, who joined Jenny Craig as its celebrity fat fighter in January, could not be contacted for comment yesterday.
While the nature of her health complaint is unknown, DeAraugo has stumbled over one hurdle after another since Idol.
