‘You’re so cruel Simon Cowell!’

WANNABE singing sensation Daniela Pani is so mad at being rejected by TV show The X Factor that she is considering planning a demonstration in London against presenter Simon Cowell.

Audition judges who heard the 42-year-old’s rendition of 50s classic Volare rated it distinctly Z-list rather than X-traordinary and gave the disappointed Woodley warbler the heave-ho.

Now the fuming voluntary carer has hit out at judge Simon Cowell – dubbed ‘Mr Nasty’ – and his team for treating people with “amazing cruelty”.

She told the Post: “Simon Cowell needs to be dropped indefinitely as from the end of this series and I will campaign until this action is taken.

“I will even organise a mass protest campaign in London along with a website against this cowardly bully of a man, if I have to, and I will.”

Miss Pani, who considers herself the spitting image of TV’s domestic goddess Nigella Lawson is distraught she was not even given the chance to sing in front of Sharon Osbourne and the other judges on the show that launched the careers of stars including Shayne Ward and Leona Lewis.

She told the Evening Post: “My audition was held on April 19, 2007.

“I had an hour-long singing lesson prior to the audition, spent £40 on travel from Twyford to London and had to buy a packed lunch from Marks and Spencer Extra.

“I arrived at Arsenal football stadium, making an effort with my clothes, make-up, hair, practising my singing throughout the morning – only to go to a small room upstairs, a bit like a doctor’s surgery, with a line-up to the audition room with unknown judges.”

Miss Pani said she sung the classic Rat Pack tune, originally a Eurovision hit for Italy in 1958, with real power ‘only to be told a straightforward no’.

She said: “I was clearly unimpressed as I have had modern singing lessons and I have attended a Curtain Up opera training course at the Royal Opera House in 2002.

“I have documentation to prove this.”

Miss Pani, who was also unfortunately turned down for the Wokingham Choral Society, believes after the effort she made – and the expenses she incurred – she should have at least had an audition in front of show judges Simon, Sharon, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh.

“I will never, ever watch Simon Cowell and his team again,” she declared. “They treat people with amazing cruelty.”
