X Factor's Leona gets singing lessons
DESPITE topping the charts with her smash hit Bleeding Love, X Factor winner Leona Lewis is going back to basics and getting singing lessons.
The Hackney-born star is to return to her roots and enlist the help of voice coach Janet Edwards, who worked with Lewis since she was eight-years-old.
Edwards said the former pizza waitress was always destined to be a star, and she would have been amazed if Lewis had not won the popular television contest.
Fans of Lewis may well wonder why it is that the 22 year-old is in need of voice training, when she already possesses one of the most powerful voices in the country. Edwards explained: “A true genuine artist is going to go on learning and growing. What you have and where you are at is never enough.”
She added: “You always want to strive for perfection. It’s part of the joy of the process. It’s what energises serious artists and marks them out.”
