Fallen Idols split over judge Simon
He is known as TV's Mr Nasty, but it seems like Simon Cowell still has a fan in Alexandrea Lushington.
The 17-year-old was one of the latest four contestants to be voted out of American Idol, and said she still respects Simon for his honest yet blunt comments.
"Simon has always been my favourite," she revealed in a conference call with reporters.
"From when I was ten when I first started watching the show, I've always been a fan of his. And now, having more respect for him because even though they weren't the greatest opinions, he still gave me constructive criticism, which allowed me to get better and stay focused."
However, Jason Yeager has found it hard to come to terms with Simon's change of heart - the judge told him that he didn't stand out.
"During Hollywood week, I had really great auditions and I got nothing but rave reviews. Even back in Dallas, when I initially auditioned, he really seemed to like me," he said.
"I never actually gotten a no from him before top 24, so it was a kind of night and day difference, all of a sudden. I felt like he just wasn't into me any more."
The eliminated 28-year-old added: "Robbie had a hard time with trying to prove his legitimacy as a rocker to him. We can't take too much of that to heart. Once you get to the top 24, it's not about them any more."
