Southern Oregon woman makes it another week in American Idol
A Southern Oregon woman has survived the second cut in this year’s “American Idol.”
Viewers chose 24-year-old Kristy Lee Cook of Selma to be among the 16 in the next round of the competition for a record contract.
Cook and the other Idol hopefuls are rated by a trio of judges, but their fate is determined by fan voting through telephone calls, text messages and online balloting.
The results Thursday booted two women and two men
Fox network, which airs “American Idol,” reported that last week more than 28 million votes were cast.
