What is your favourite song? Please tell us why you love that particular song.
I have many favourite songs! John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, but the groove and genius of “Billie Jean” is pretty hard to beat.

Which previous finalist do you find most inspiring and why?
Dan Mifsud was a pretty cool cat! Matt Corby was quite the talented young cat!

Describe your feelings at your first audition.
I was pretty anxious! I waited all day and the first audition was like I stepped into this crazy and chaotic, alternative universe.

Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
Star quality is always a term I have struggled with but what I think star quality is; it’s someone who can walk into a room and everybody knows your there, you have an unexplained presence about you. I don’t think you necessarily need to be an entertainer/musician/actor to have star quality either!

What would you call your debut single?
I’ve written 500 songs or more! But the most commercial song would have to be a tune I wrote called “Say My Name.”

Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
Idol gives the opportunity for artists/musicians to be heard. Whether it is a radio or TV competition, it just seems like it’s the only way for artists to breakthrough these days!

Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
John Lennon – I would love to meet them an and jam with him.

What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
…is finally I get the opportunity to be exposed and to perform to a larger audience and hopefully, eventually get to share my music with the world one day.

Who is your favourite judge and why?
I’ve always admired Kyle’s honesty within the public eye, but I respect Dicko’s integrity and the support he gives to young talent and the Aussie music industry.
