Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia land 2007 AMA nominations

A slew of former American Idol finalists received 2007 American Music Awards nominations on Tuesday, including fourth-season champ Carrie Underwood, third-season winner Fantasia Barrino, and fifth-season fourth-place finisher Chris Daughtry.

Leading the former Idol finalists in 2007 AMA nominations is Daughtry's band Daughtry, whose self-titled debut album dropped last October; spent two weeks at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album sales chart; and is certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling more than 3 million copies.
