Former 'Idol' contestant joins traveling 'Rent' production
He made it to the top 10 in the fourth season of "American Idol," wooed judge Paula Abdul who called him "technically the best singer of the competition" and toured the country with the Idols Live show. Now, Anwar Robinson, the music teacher from New Jersey who finished seventh on "American Idol" in 2005, has moved on to another music phenomenon.
Robinson joined the touring Broadway production of "Rent," the musical that took the nation by storm and won every major award, including the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for drama.
