My feelings at my first audition were extreme nerves but also feelings of excitement and the unknown
Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
When you have star quality you possess a great attitude, a great smile and you can always find time for people who support and love music.
What would you call your debut single?
‘The Break Out’ LOL! Only because that is something that I have been longing to do for a long time.
Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
Australian Idol is an important part of our local music scene due to the fact that it has created so many opportunities for young people that may not have been there, say, 10 years ago.
Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
Elvis Presley by far! His range was so amazing, he was extremely diverse and he is a pure LEGEND. Closely followed by Aretha Franklin who is my inspiration as a female singer.
What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
The awesome people that you get to meet a long the way. Even though I’m in the top 24 I have already made so many friends who I intend on visiting in their home states.
Who is your favourite judge and why?
My favourite judge is so hard to choose! I can’t choose but I will say Marcia has always been a fan of mine. And Dicko and Kyle have always given me a straight up opinion about me. I am so grateful for that.
Please complete this sentence: The one thing I want Australia to know about me is…
I have such a great love of animals! I want to start my own animal refuge. I’m also here to represent women who are proud and comfortable with who they are.
What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
The best piece of advice I have ever been given was to stay true to myself and that’s exactly what I intend to do.
