Please complete this sentence: ‘I first realised I wanted to become a professional singer when…’ I was asked to audition for a school Christmas concert; I was 4 at the time. So yeah, from then on I wanted to be a pro. P.S. I got the Christmas gig lol.

What is your favourite song? Please tell us why you love that particular song.
My favourite song is Angels by Robbie Williams. I like this song because the lyrics are really meaningful to me but in saying that I have lots of fav songs.

Which previous finalist do you find most inspiring and why?
I find Matt Corby because he is a lot like me. He’s 16, still at school and has been singing for 10 odd years.

Describe your feelings at your first audition.
At my first audition I was really nervous but excited in a way. All I really wanted was to get some good feedback but yeah they put me through and here I am today.

Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
Yeah the voice is a big part of being a star, but it also includes having the determination, attitude, personality and looks.

What would you call your debut single?
If I were to release a single I would probably call it by the name of the song on it i.e. “Right here for you” ™ LOL

Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
I think Australian Idol is a big part of the Australian industry because if you are just a solo artist that is gigging around the place you are probably not going to get discovered so this show offers exposure to those people.

Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
If I were to perform a duet with anyone it would probably be either Robbie Williams because he’s a legend or Matt Corby because I really want to meet him.

What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
The best thing about being on Aussie Idol this year would probably be working with the great professionals from the show and meeting all the great new people.

Who is your favourite judge and why?
I like all of the judges but if I had to choose one it would be Marcia because she really understand me and I really like that about her.

What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Best piece of advice I have been given was from Marcia and she said “Stay true to yourself”.
